This week on SarahTalk…

For nearly 25 years Tim Rymel served as a minister in the evangelical Christian Church. In addition, he is a survivor and former leader of conversion therapy, the attempt to change  someone’s sexual orientation from gay to straight, with Love in Action. He is the author of “Going Gay – My Journey from Evangelical Christian Minister to Self-Acceptance, Love, Life, and Meaning.” He has written for HuffPost, The Good Men Project, and appears in a documentary for Vice News. Tim also holds a master’s degree in education from Colorado State University where he focused his research on cognition, perception, and belief.  Now he’s written a book entitled “Rethinking Everything: When Faith and Reality Don’t Make Sense.”  This week he joins us for a special Pride48 Streaming Weekend show to talk about his life, self-discovery, gay conversion programs, and concerns about the Evangelical Political Machine in America.
